Wild Hot 40 Deluxe

Bananas, strawberries, a red 7 and flames up the sides — Wild Hot 40 Deluxe is Fazi doing an old-school fruit machine with three progressive jackpots stapled on. Forty paylines, a 96.58% RTP off the sheet, a 1,000x base ceiling. I demoed it and banked a real, if tiny, win; here's the honest tally.

The full review
THE FULL REVIEW

Seven stops around the ride — what it is, how it plays, and where the money really moves.

1 Fire, fruit and the arcade look

The frame is orange and alight — literal flames licking up both edges — around a classic line-up of bananas, strawberries, green apples, gold BARs and a red 7, with a golden bell and a pink-burst WILD. It's classic-style fruit with the heat turned up, the kind of look you'd find in a pub cabinet. No story, no cutscenes — just reels and a gamble button.

2 40 paylines on a 5×4 board

The '40' is the payline count: five reels, four rows and forty fixed lines — a fuller board than the classic 3-row cabinets, which means more ways to land the fruit and a busier base game. Wins run left-to-right along the lines, and with forty of them small hits land often. It reads instantly: match the fruit, get paid.

3 The wild and the win I actually banked

The WILD is a pink-burst symbol that substitutes for the fruit to complete lines. In my demo I landed two wilds stacked on reel one alongside a row of bells for a 2.00 win on a 0.20 bet — a clean 10× the stake, small but real, exactly the size of hit a Low-variance fruit machine hands you regularly. No fish story, no marketing ceiling — that's the true rhythm of the base game.

4 Three progressive jackpots and the gamble ladder

Up top sit three progressive jackpots — Gold, Diamond and Platinum (my demo showed them ticking at play-money values of 6,332.75, 8,890.53 and 158.00). These are the game's real top end, since the base max win is a modest 1,000x. There's also the classic Risk/Gamble double-up: after a win you can gamble it on a card-colour or higher/lower call, double or nothing. Fun, and the fastest way to hand your 2.00 straight back.

5 The maths: low, steady, jackpot-topped

The sheet reads 96.58% RTP, Low volatility and a 1,000x max win. Low variance plus forty lines means frequent little wins and a gentle bankroll — a comfortable sit. The 1,000x base ceiling is small, so the progressives are doing the dreaming for you. Full honesty: the in-game paytable wouldn't open cleanly in my capture, so I'm not printing per-symbol values — but the 2.00 win, the 0.20 bet and the jackpot panel are all real, straight off my screen.

The house rules, plainly

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Grid & paylines. Five reels by four rows on forty fixed paylines. Matching symbols run left-to-right along a line to pay.
  2. Wild. The pink-burst WILD substitutes for the paying fruit symbols to complete line wins.
  3. Scatter. A scatter symbol pays or triggers independently of the paylines rather than needing to sit on a line.
  4. Progressive jackpots. Three progressive jackpots run above the reels — Gold, Diamond and Platinum — climbing until won and awarded separately from line pays. The demo displayed them at play-money values (Gold 6,332.75, Diamond 8,890.53, Platinum 158.00).
  5. Risk / Gamble double-up. After a win you can gamble it double-or-nothing on a card colour or higher/lower call. Guess right to double; guess wrong and the win is lost.
  6. Numbers. Published RTP 96.58%, Low volatility, base maximum win 1,000x stake (progressive jackpots aside).

THE PAYTABLE
Base symbol payouts (multiple of stake)
SymbolPayout (× stake)
Per-symbol pays
Symbol payout panelNot read — the in-game paytable wouldn't open cleanly in capture, so no fruit, BAR, 7 or bell values are printed here rather than guessed.

The in-game per-symbol paytable did not open cleanly during capture, so no banana/strawberry/BAR/7/bell line figures are shown — I won't guess them. What is real from the screen: a 2.00 win on a 0.20 bet (a 10× line hit on bells with two wilds) and the three progressive jackpot displays. RTP (96.58%), variance (Low) and base max win (1,000x) are from the data sheet.

HOW I PLAYED IT

Demo first, on the minimum 0.20 bet. Wild Hot 40 Deluxe plays exactly like the pub cabinet it's dressed as — bananas and BARs dropping in, small line hits ticking over, the three progressive jackpots glowing away up top. On one spin two wilds stacked on reel one under a run of flaming bells and paid 2.00 — a clean 10× the bet.

The 5×4 base grid: a gold BAR top-left, strawberries, bananas, a stacked red 7 on reel four, with the three progressive jackpots lit above — Gold 6,332.75, Diamond 8,890.53, Platinum 158.00. Bet 0.20, 'place your bet'.

The real hit: two pink-burst WILDs stacked on reel one under a row of flaming bells, paylines lit gold and a 2.00 win banked on the 0.20 bet — a clean 10× the stake. 'Congratulations' up top.
WIN · 2.00The real hit: two pink-burst WILDs stacked on reel one under a row of flaming bells, paylines lit gold and a 2.00 win banked on the 0.20 bet — a clean 10× the stake. 'Congratulations' up top.
A BAR-loaded base board — gold BARs stacked across reels one and four, bananas and strawberries between, a golden bell up top — with the jackpots still ticking above. Bet 0.20, awaiting the next spin.
BASE (BAR-heavy)A BAR-loaded base board — gold BARs stacked across reels one and four, bananas and strawberries between, a golden bell up top — with the jackpots still ticking above. Bet 0.20, awaiting the next spin.
The reels reset on the same BAR-heavy line-up, jackpots holding at Gold 6,332.75 / Diamond 8,890.53 / Platinum 158.00 — an honest base-game frame, no separate feature screen rendered in this capture.

The honest shape, then: this is a Low-variance retro fruit machine where the base game hands you tidy little wins like that 2.00 and the 1,000x ceiling keeps expectations grounded. The dreaming is all in the Gold/Diamond/Platinum progressives, and the gamble button is right there to double the 2.00 — or vaporise it. I didn't chase either; a small honest hit on a demo is exactly what a slot like this is for. — Tess

The token verdict
THE VERDICT
6.9
Seven tokens, old-school and honest

What earns its ticket

  • Easy, frequent Low-variance wins across forty lines
  • Three progressive jackpots give a real top end beyond the 1,000x base
  • Banked a clean, real 2.00 (10× the bet) in the demo — honest base rhythm
  • Classic gamble double-up for anyone who wants the risk
  • Fair 96.58% RTP for a simple spinner

What to watch

  • Modest 1,000x base ceiling — the dreaming leans entirely on the progressives
  • Thin feature set: wild, scatter and a gamble button, little else
  • The flaming-fruit look is very well-worn arcade ground
  • In-game per-symbol paytable wouldn't open cleanly in my capture

Six-point-nine because it's an honest, easy Low-variance fruit machine with a fair 96.58% RTP and three progressives for the top-end dream — it does the retro job cleanly. Not higher because the 1,000x base ceiling and threadbare feature set (a wild, a scatter, a gamble button) leave it thin once the flames stop being novel. — Tess Hale

  • Demo first, always — “the cheapest ticket in the park.”
  • Buys the feature on purpose and prints what it returned — no cherry-picking.
  • Logs the real ladder she hit that session, not the marketing ceiling.

WILD HOT 40 DELUXE FAQ

What is the RTP and max win on Wild Hot 40 Deluxe?
The published RTP is 96.58% and the base maximum win is 1,000x your stake, with three progressive jackpots on top. Volatility is Low, and it's a 5×4 classic fruit machine on forty fixed paylines.
How do the progressive jackpots work?
Three progressives — Gold, Diamond and Platinum — climb above the reels until one is won, awarded separately from the line pays. In my demo they showed play-money values of 6,332.75, 8,890.53 and 158.00. They're the game's real top end, since the base ceiling is a modest 1,000x.
Can I gamble my winnings?
Yes — Wild Hot 40 Deluxe has the classic Risk/Gamble double-up. After a win you can bet it double-or-nothing on a card colour or higher/lower call. Guess right and it doubles; guess wrong and the win is gone. It's the fastest way to lose a small hit, so treat it with care.
Can I try Wild Hot 40 Deluxe for free first?
Yes — like almost every slot we cover, it has a free demo mode, which is how I tested it and banked that 2.00 win. For a simple low-variance fruit machine the demo shows you the whole rhythm in a few minutes before you spend anything.
Is Wild Hot 40 Deluxe available in New Zealand, and is it safe?
Allstars Land is an information site — we don't offer gambling or take bets. New Zealand has no locally licensed online casinos, so any real-money play happens on offshore sites at your own risk. The gamble feature and progressives make chasing easy, so set a firm budget and treat it as paid entertainment.
