The Soapranos

A pink-and-violet laundromat under a SILENZIO sign, run by cartoon mobsters — a greasy-haired wiseguy with a cigarette, a granny in rose sunglasses, a heavy in an open shirt. The Soapranos is Peter & Sons doing a mafia gag, and the joke has real teeth: a golden washing-machine Wild that stamps multipliers on your wins. I ran the €2.00-ish demo. Here's the honest tally.

The full review
THE FULL REVIEW

Seven stops around the ride — what it is, how it plays, and where the money really moves.

1 A neon laundromat full of wiseguys

The board sits inside a rundown laundromat — washers along the left wall, a SILENZIO sign, pink neon bleeding over everything. The symbols are the crew: a greasy-haired mobster with a cigarette, a pink-haired granny in sunglasses, a bearded heavy, a fat boss, plus the props — a laundry basket, an iron, a rolled sock, a bar of soap and a pack of 'Lavender' detergent. It's a proper comic-book mafia gag, and Peter & Sons commit to the bit.

2 Avalanches on a 5-reel board

Wins land and cascade: paying symbols clear, new ones drop in, and a single spin can chain several wins deep. It's the familiar avalanche engine, and it's the delivery system for the thing that matters — the washing-machine Wild and the multipliers it drags into the round.

3 The washing-machine Wild and its multiplier

The star is a golden washing machine with a glowing W — the Wild — and it doesn't just substitute, it carries a multiplier. In my demo I watched it print ×2 on one cascade and ×6 on another, and individual symbols in the win also wore their own ×2 tags. Peter & Sons lists Wilds-with-multipliers plus random extra Wilds, so a busy board can stack these — that's the machine's whole personality, and it's a good one.

4 The Free Wash Ticket and the bonus

The scatter is a golden Free Wash Ticket. Land enough and you're into the free spins, where the multiplier Wilds and a free-spins multiplier do their best work, with Mega 3×3 symbols and extra Wilds thrown in. There's also a bonus bet option to juice the trigger odds, and a buy feature (the little rocket button) for the impatient — I didn't get a confirmed buy price from the demo, so I won't quote one.

5 The maths, plainly

The stats are strong for the style: 96.5% RTP, High volatility and a genuine 30,000x max win. That RTP is a touch above the standard fair, and 30,000x is a real ceiling — the kind that only turns up when the multiplier Wilds stack in free spins. High variance is the trade: plenty of flat cascades that pay peanuts while you wait for the machine to warm up. Chase the ceiling with a budget, not your whole night.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Grid & avalanche. A 5-reel Peter & Sons board where wins cascade — paying symbols are removed and new ones drop in, so one spin can chain several wins.
  2. Washing-machine Wild & multipliers. The golden washing-machine Wild substitutes for paying symbols and carries a multiplier (×2 and ×6 seen in demo). Individual winning symbols can also wear their own multiplier tags, and random extra Wilds can land.
  3. Free Wash Ticket & free spins. The Free Wash Ticket scatter triggers the free-spins feature, where multiplier Wilds, a free-spins multiplier and Mega 3×3 symbols do their best work.
  4. Bonus bet & buy feature. A bonus bet can improve the trigger odds, and a buy feature purchases entry to the bonus. Exact bonus-bet and buy costs were not confirmed from the demo.

My own session · nothing staged

HOW I PLAYED IT

Demo run at a 200-credit bet on the near-million play balance. Unlike a lot of harvest sessions, this one actually paid on screen, so here's the real tally rather than the marketing line.

The Soapranos base board — a 5-reel neon laundromat with the mobster crew (cigarette wiseguy, sunglasses granny, bearded heavy, fat boss) and props. Bet 200, win 0: a flat spin before the multipliers show up.
BASEThe Soapranos base board — a 5-reel neon laundromat with the mobster crew (cigarette wiseguy, sunglasses granny, bearded heavy, fat boss) and props. Bet 200, win 0: a flat spin before the multipliers show up.
A cascade paying 240: Lavender detergent packs carrying ×2 tags and the golden washing-machine W Wild also at ×2. This is the multiplier engine in its everyday gear.
WIN · x2A cascade paying 240: Lavender detergent packs carrying ×2 tags and the golden washing-machine W Wild also at ×2. This is the multiplier engine in its everyday gear.
The machine warmed up — the golden W Wild at ×6, Free Wash Ticket scatters and laundry baskets stacking ×3, the counter climbing past 229 toward a 1,600 win. This stack is the road to the 30,000x ceiling.
BONUS · x6The machine warmed up — the golden W Wild at ×6, Free Wash Ticket scatters and laundry baskets stacking ×3, the counter climbing past 229 toward a 1,600 win. This stack is the road to the 30,000x ceiling.

First a clean cascade with ×2 tags on the detergent packs and a ×2 on the washing-machine Wild dropped a 240 win. Then the machine warmed up: the golden W Wild hit ×6, Free Wash Ticket scatters and laundry baskets stacked ×3 alongside it, and the counter climbed to a 1,600 win — the bonus lighting up exactly as advertised. That's the shape of a 96.5% High-variance slot: flat until the multiplier Wilds line up, then a proper jump. Keep the buys sensible and let the ×6 come to you. — Tess

The token verdict
THE VERDICT
8.3
Eight tokens, freshly laundered

What earns its ticket

  • Washing-machine Wilds carry real multipliers — ×6 seen turning a round into 1,600
  • Fair 96.5% RTP with a genuine 30,000x ceiling
  • Avalanches chain wins and feed the multiplier stacks
  • Genuinely funny neon-laundromat mafia theme with real character

What to watch

  • High variance: lots of flat cascades before the multipliers line up
  • Buy feature and bonus bet can burn a bankroll fast if you don't cap them
  • Top-tier 30,000x hits are rare and need the Wilds to stack in free spins
  • Mafia parody is charming but the base symbols read a bit busy

Eight-point-three because the multiplier Wilds genuinely deliver — I watched a ×6 turn a round into a 1,600 win — the theme is a proper laugh, and 96.5% with a 30,000x ceiling is a square deal. Not higher only because High variance means plenty of flat cascades between the good stuff. — Tess Hale

Slot & casino reviewer · Mount Maunganui, Bay of Plenty

Ex-arcade cashier turned pokies writer. Tess reads a slot the way she used to read a coin-op: what it costs to play, what the machine actually gives back, and whether the “big one” is real or just paint on the glass. Sceptical, warm, allergic to hype.

  • Demo first, always — “the cheapest ticket in the park.”
  • Buys the feature on purpose and prints what it returned — no cherry-picking.
  • Logs the real ladder she hit that session, not the marketing ceiling.

THE SOAPRANOS FAQ

What is the RTP and max win on The Soapranos?
The published RTP is 96.5% and the maximum win is 30,000x your stake. Volatility is High, so expect flat cascades between bursts — the big wins come when the multiplier Wilds stack in free spins.
How do the washing-machine Wilds work?
The golden washing machine is the Wild, and it carries a multiplier — I saw ×2 and ×6 in demo. Individual winning symbols can also wear their own multiplier tags, and random extra Wilds can land, so a busy board multiplies up quickly.
How do you trigger the free spins?
The golden Free Wash Ticket is the scatter — land enough and you're into the free-spins feature, where the multiplier Wilds, a free-spins multiplier and Mega 3×3 symbols do their best work. A bonus bet can improve your trigger odds, and there's a buy feature for the impatient.
Can I try The Soapranos for free first?
Yes — like almost every slot we review, The Soapranos has a free demo mode. On a High-variance game, scouting it in demo before you spend is the cheapest ticket in the park, and it's exactly how I start every session.
Can I play The Soapranos for real money at Allstars Land?
No — Allstars Land is a review site and doesn't offer gambling or host real-money play. The Soapranos runs at licensed offshore casinos, none of which hold a New Zealand licence. If betting stops being fun, it's free and confidential to ring the Gambling Helpline NZ on 0800 654 655 or text 8006. Set a budget before you spin and treat any win as a bonus, not a plan.
