Hot Rocket 5x 3x 2x

The title tells you the whole pitch: 5x, 3x, 2x. Hot Rocket is BGaming's classic-format machine with a prehistoric paint job — bars, sevens, a dinosaur egg and a rocket — and three multipliers doing the heavy lifting. I ran it in demo. Here's the honest read on what those three numbers actually buy you.

THE FULL REVIEW

Seven stops around the ride — what it is, how it plays, and where the money really moves.

1 Bars and sevens, wearing a dinosaur costume

Strip the paint back and Hot Rocket is a classic-style slot: BAR symbols, lucky 7s, that old fruit-machine skeleton. Over the top BGaming has draped a Stone Age cartoon — a volcano, a dinosaur egg, a little rocket — which is a cheerful mash of ideas that don't really belong together. It's bright and it reads fast, but the theme is decoration, not the point. The point is those three multiplier numbers in the title.

2 The 5x, 3x, 2x hook

The name is the mechanic: fixed ×5, ×3 and ×2 multipliers that can land on wins. It's a familiar classic-slot trick — no escalating ladder, no doubling, just three set values that either turn up or don't. When two stack you feel it; when the reels come in flat you get exactly what the symbols pay and nothing more. Honest, but not a machine that surprises you.

3 Cash Collector, Wilds and a bonus game

Beyond the multipliers, BGaming lists a Cash Collector, a Wild, a bonus game with its own bonus symbols, and fixed jackpots. The Cash Collector is the usual hold-and-sweep idea — coin values on the board, a collector symbol that rakes them in — and the fixed jackpots sit on top as set prizes rather than a growing pool. I didn't get the exact jackpot figures from a demo run, so I'm not going to quote numbers I can't stand behind.

4 The maths, plainly

The headline stats are 96.0% RTP, Medium volatility and a 2,500x max win. That RTP is the industry-standard fair; the Med variance means steadier, smaller hits rather than long dry spells; and the 2,500x ceiling is the honest limiter — this is not a slot you play chasing a life-changer. It's a coffee-break machine that pays little and often and occasionally lets a ×5 make your day.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Format. A classic-style BGaming slot built on bars and 7s with a Stone Age cartoon skin. The exact grid and payline count were not confirmed from the demo build.
  2. 5x / 3x / 2x multipliers. Three fixed multiplier values (×5, ×3, ×2) can apply to wins, as flagged in the title. These are set values, not an escalating ladder.
  3. Cash Collector. A collector mechanic sweeps coin values shown on the reels — a hold-and-collect style feature.
  4. Wild & bonus game. A Wild substitutes for paying symbols, and bonus symbols trigger a separate bonus game. Fixed jackpots sit on top as set prizes.

The token verdict
THE VERDICT
7.2
Seven tokens, a couple of sparks

What earns its ticket

  • Fair 96.0% RTP
  • Medium variance pays little and often — friendly on a short bankroll
  • Bright, fast, easy-to-read classic format
  • Cash Collector and fixed jackpots add a bit more than plain reels

What to watch

  • Modest 2,500x max win caps the upside
  • The 5x/3x/2x multipliers are fixed values, not an escalating hook
  • Theme is a random mash of dino, rocket and bars with no real identity
  • Nothing here you haven't seen on a dozen other classic slots

Seven-point-two because it's a fair, cheerful, fast little classic — and not higher because the 2,500x ceiling and set multipliers give you no real reason to stay past a session. Grab it as filler, not as a main event. — Tess Hale

Tessa “Tess” Hale

Slot & casino reviewer · Mount Maunganui, Bay of Plenty

Ex-arcade cashier turned pokies writer. Tess reads a slot the way she used to read a coin-op: what it costs to play, what the machine actually gives back, and whether the “big one” is real or just paint on the glass. Sceptical, warm, allergic to hype.

  • Demo first, always — “the cheapest ticket in the park.”
  • Buys the feature on purpose and prints what it returned — no cherry-picking.
  • Logs the real ladder she hit that session, not the marketing ceiling.

HOT ROCKET 5X 3X 2X FAQ

What is the RTP and max win on Hot Rocket 5x 3x 2x?
The published RTP is 96.0% and the maximum win is 2,500x your stake. Volatility is Medium, so expect steadier, smaller wins rather than long dry runs and huge one-offs.
What do the 5x, 3x and 2x in the name mean?
They're three fixed multiplier values that can land on your wins — ×5, ×3 and ×2. Unlike an escalating ladder they don't build up over a round; each is a set value that either appears or doesn't.
Does Hot Rocket have a jackpot?
BGaming lists fixed jackpots — set prize amounts rather than a progressive pool that grows with play. I couldn't confirm the exact jackpot figures from the demo, so check the in-game paytable at your casino before you rely on them.
Can I try Hot Rocket for free first?
Yes — like almost every slot we review, Hot Rocket has a free demo mode. Scouting a classic slot in demo before you spend is the cheapest ticket in the park, and it's exactly how I start every session.
Can I play Hot Rocket for real money at Allstars Land?
No — Allstars Land is a review site and doesn't offer gambling or host real-money play. Hot Rocket runs at licensed offshore casinos, none of which hold a New Zealand licence. If betting stops being fun, it's free and confidential to ring the Gambling Helpline NZ on 0800 654 655 or text 8006. Set a budget before you spin and treat any win as a bonus, not a plan.
