Fire Gnomes 2 Magic Wheel

A neon mushroom forest, two grinning gnomes on rope swings, dynamite-barrel WILDS up the left and a glowing wheel overhead that pays cash on every win — Fire Gnomes 2: Magic Wheel is Crazy Tooth's ‘BIG buildup' engine at full tilt. I demoed it at a 1.50 stake and let the wheel spin.

THE FULL REVIEW

Seven stops around the ride — what it is, how it plays, and where the money really moves.

1 Neon mushrooms and two mischievous gnomes

Fire Gnomes 2 sets its reels in a glowing violet fungal wood — luminous mushrooms, twisting vines, a lantern-lit gnome cottage, and a pair of bearded gnomes swinging in on ropes at the top corners. The symbols are flame-lit card suits (club, spade, diamond, heart) with glowing blue and green mushrooms as the higher pays. It's the fantasy / goldmine theme done with real style — moody, punchy and a clear step up from the first game's look.

2 The Magic Wheel — the whole point

Overhead sits the Magic Wheel, and it's the reason this game exists. Every win pings it for an Instant Bonus — a cash value or a multiplier. In my session I watched it flash cash drops of 9.90, 50.00 and 500.00, and multipliers up to ×4. It turns an ordinary win into a two-part payout: the line pays, then the wheel adds on top. A steady drip of extra value that keeps you watching the top of the screen as much as the reels.

3 Dynamite WILDS and their multipliers

The leftmost reel is a stack of dynamite-barrel WILDS — sticky, and they carry ×2 tags. During a win I saw the board light up with a wall of glowing wild coins, each with a multiplier, which is where the round's bigger hits come from. There's an additive symbol, random / additional wilds and wilds with multipliers in the kit — a lot of moving parts stacking toward one payout.

4 Free spins, the bonus wreath, and two buy buttons

Land the green BONUS wreath and you're into the free-spins feature, where the wheel and the wilds do their loudest work. Impatient? The panel sells it outright: Buy Bonus at 90.00 and Buy Super Bonus at 150.00 sit down the left. At the 1.50 stake I was on, that reads as roughly 60× and 100× your bet — legible pricing, no hidden menu.

5 The maths — fair RTP, low ceiling

The numbers are a mixed bag worth reading carefully. The 96.01% RTP is fair and the HIGH variance is honest — but the max win is a modest 2,058×. For a HIGH-vol buy-feature slot, that's a comparatively low top end: you're taking the swings without a huge payoff waiting at the summit. The wheel makes the ride fun; just don't expect a 10,000× moonshot at the end of it.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Grid & wins. Reels set in a neon mushroom forest with flame-lit card-suit lows and glowing mushroom highs. Wins pay across the board and each one triggers the overhead Magic Wheel.
  2. Magic Wheel — Instant Bonus. Every win spins the overhead Magic Wheel for an Instant Bonus: a cash value (9.90, 50.00 and 500.00 were seen) or a multiplier (up to ×4 observed), added on top of the line win.
  3. Dynamite WILDS. Sticky dynamite-barrel WILDS stack up the left reel carrying ×2 multipliers. Additional/random wilds, an additive symbol and wilds-with-multipliers are also part of the feature set.
  4. Free spins. The green BONUS wreath symbol triggers the free-spins feature, where the wheel and multiplier wilds do their heaviest work.
  5. Buy Feature. Two buy buttons sit on the left: Buy Bonus at 90.00 and Buy Super Bonus at 150.00 — roughly 60× and 100× the 1.50 stake I played — purchasing the feature directly. — Buy Bonus (90.00 (~60× bet)), Buy Super Bonus (150.00 (~100× bet)).

HOW I PLAYED IT

Crazy Tooth's gnome sequel, played on the demo at a 1.50 stake. The Magic Wheel overhead is the whole show, so I let it spin.

The mushroom-forest board with dynamite-barrel WILDS stacked up the left reel and a ×2 tag lower right, the Magic Wheel overhead reading a 9.90 Instant Bonus and a ×4 — gnome mascots swinging in the top corners.

The dynamite-barrel WILDS stack up the left with ×2 tags, and every win pings the overhead wheel for an Instant Bonus — I watched it flash cash values of 9.90, 50.00 and 500.00 and multipliers up to ×4. One cascade of stacked wild coins paid 7.60 with a ×2 rider on my 1.50 spin. If you'd rather not wait, the panel sells it: Buy Bonus at 90.00 (about 60× your 1.50 bet) or Buy Super Bonus at 150.00 (about 100×). Sensible numbers underneath — 96.01% RTP — but note the ceiling is a comparatively low 2,058×, and on HIGH variance the flat spins between wheel hits are real. Fun engine, capped upside. — Tess

The token verdict
THE VERDICT
7.9
Nearly eight tokens in the tray

What earns its ticket

  • Magic Wheel adds an Instant Bonus to every win (cash or ×4)
  • Sticky dynamite WILDS with ×2 multipliers stack up hits
  • Fair 96.01% RTP with clearly-priced buy buttons
  • Stylish, moody neon-mushroom presentation

What to watch

  • Modest 2,058× ceiling for a HIGH-variance buy slot
  • HIGH variance means real dead runs between wheel hits
  • Buy-feature play burns a bankroll fast if uncapped
  • A lot of overlapping wild mechanics to track

Seven-point-nine because the Magic Wheel is a genuinely clever add-on and the art has real style — every win paying twice keeps it moving — and not higher because a modest 2,058× ceiling on HIGH variance means you take the swings without a big payoff waiting. Great engine, capped upside. Demo it, and price the buys against that ceiling. — Tess Hale

Ex-arcade cashier turned pokies writer. Tess reads a slot the way she used to read a coin-op: what it costs to play, what the machine actually gives back, and whether the “big one” is real or just paint on the glass. Sceptical, warm, allergic to hype.

  • Demo first, always — “the cheapest ticket in the park.”
  • Buys the feature on purpose and prints what it returned — no cherry-picking.
  • Logs the real ladder she hit that session, not the marketing ceiling.

FIRE GNOMES 2 MAGIC WHEEL FAQ

What is the RTP and max win on Fire Gnomes 2 Magic Wheel?
The RTP is 96.01% and the maximum win is 2,058× your stake — a comparatively modest ceiling for a high-variance buy-feature slot. Variance is HIGH, and a Bonus Bet and RTP-range setting can shift the exact configuration a casino runs.
How does the Magic Wheel work?
The wheel sits above the reels and spins on every win to award an Instant Bonus — either a cash value (I saw 9.90, 50.00 and 500.00) or a multiplier (up to ×4). It's added on top of the line win, so each paying spin effectively pays twice.
What do the buy features cost?
Two buttons sit on the left: Buy Bonus at 90.00 and Buy Super Bonus at 150.00. At the 1.50 stake I played, that's roughly 60× and 100× your bet. On a modest 2,058× ceiling, weigh the buy price against what you can realistically win before you press it.
Can I try Fire Gnomes 2 for free first?
Yes — like almost every slot we cover, Crazy Tooth Studio's Fire Gnomes 2: Magic Wheel has a free demo mode. Scouting a HIGH-variance buy slot in demo before you spend is the cheapest ticket in the park, and it's exactly how I start every session.
